Where other druids treat Wild Shape as a tool, the Circle of the Moon treats it as a battlefield. These are the fierce guardians of the deep wilds, the ones who keep to the wolf-runs and the high crags and defend them with tooth and claw rather than council and rite. When a Moon druid takes a beast's shape, it is no scout's disguise — it is a war-form, drawn down from the moon's own strength and harder to kill than the beast ever was.

Theirs is a wilder, hungrier discipline. A Moon druid learns to shift in the heat of combat, to bleed lunar radiance from every strike, and to blink across the field in a shimmer of silver light. They are proof that nature's gentleness is only half the truth — that the same wild that heals can also hunt, and does so under a cold and watchful moon.

3rd Level

Circle Forms

Lunar magic sharpens your shapeshifting. You can take on more dangerous Beast forms — the maximum Challenge Rating equals your Druid level divided by 3 (rounded down). And while in any Wild Shape form, your Armor Class is at least 13 + your Wisdom modifier, and you gain Temporary Hit Points equal to three times your Druid level each time you transform. Your war-form is tougher than the beast it's modeled on.

3rd Level

Circle of the Moon Spells

You gain always-prepared spells that you can cast even while in a Wild Shape form: Cure Wounds, Moonbeam, and Starry Wisp at 3rd; Conjure Animals at 5th; Fount of Moonlight at 7th; and Mass Cure Wounds at 9th — moonlight to mend and moonlight to burn, kept ready at all times.

6th Level

Improved Circle Forms

The moon burns brighter in you. While in a Wild Shape form, each of your attacks can deal Radiant damage instead of its normal type — chosen fresh with every hit — so no resistance to claw or bite can save your prey. You can also add your Wisdom modifier to your Constitution saving throws, holding your form and your focus through punishment that would break a lesser beast.

10th Level

Moonlight Step

As a Bonus Action, you vanish in a shimmer of silver and teleport up to 30 feet to a space you can see, gaining Advantage on your next attack this turn. You can do this a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier, regaining all uses on a Long Rest — or restore a single use at once by expending a level 2 or higher spell slot.

14th Level

Lunar Form

You become a vessel of moonlight made flesh. Once per turn, you can deal an extra 2d10 Radiant damage to a target you hit with a Wild Shape form's attack. And whenever you use Moonlight Step, you can carry a willing creature with you — one within 10 feet, set down within 10 feet of where you arrive — so no ally is ever left behind in the blink.
