Oath of Glory — Sagor från Valoris

The Oath of Glory belongs to those who believe they are destined for legend — and mean to prove it. These paladins hold that within every soul lies the potential for greatness, and that it is their calling to draw that greatness out through heroic deeds worthy of the old sagas. They train their bodies to superhuman feats, throw themselves at challenges others flee, and carry themselves with the unshakable confidence of someone who already knows how their story ends.

It is the most exuberant of the oaths, and the most inspiring to fight beside. A Glory paladin turns their own triumphs into shields for their allies, lends the whole party a burst of speed, and at the height of their legend becomes untouchable — magnetic, quick, and simply unable to fail at the moment it counts. Where other paladins protect and avenge, the Glory paladin leads the charge and dares the world to write them down.

3rd Level

Oath of Glory Spells

Your legend keeps a suite of spells always ready: Guiding Bolt and Heroism at 3rd; Enhance Ability and Magic Weapon at 5th; Haste and Protection from Energy at 9th; Compulsion and Freedom of Movement at 13th; and Commune and Flame Strike at 17th — the buffs and blessings of a born champion.

3rd Level

Inspiring Smite

Your triumphs become your allies' shields. Immediately after you deal damage with Divine Smite, you can expend a use of Channel Divinity to distribute Temporary Hit Points equal to 2d8 + your Paladin level among any creatures within 30 feet — yourself included — divided however you like. The same blow that fells your foe steels everyone who saw it land.

3rd Level

Peerless Athlete

As a Bonus Action, you can expend a use of Channel Divinity to become a paragon of physical prowess for 1 hour. You have Advantage on Athletics and Acrobatics checks, your Long and High Jumps reach 10 feet farther, and you can carry, push, drag, and lift twice your usual weight — the stuff of feats that end up in songs.

7th Level

Aura of Alacrity

You and yours move like the wind of legend. Your own Speed increases by 10 feet while you aren't Incapacitated, and whenever an ally first enters your Aura of Protection on a turn — or begins their turn within it — their Speed increases by 10 feet until the end of their next turn. The whole company surges forward in your wake.

15th Level

Glorious Defense

You turn aside fate for those around you. When you or a creature within 10 feet is hit by an attack, you can take a Reaction to grant a bonus to their AC equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum +1), potentially causing the attack to miss — and if it does, you can make one weapon attack against the attacker as part of the same Reaction. You can do this a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier per Long Rest.

20th Level

Living Legend

You become the hero of your own saga made real. As a Bonus Action, for 10 minutes you gain: Advantage on all Charisma checks; the power, when you fail a saving throw, to reroll it as a Reaction (using the second result); and, once between turns, the ability to turn a missed attack into a hit. Once used, you recover this on a Long Rest — or by spending a level 5 spell slot.
