Wild Magic Sorcery — Sagor från Valoris

The Wild Magic sorcerer's power has no tidy origin story — or too many. A tear in reality, a chaos-touched ancestor, a wish gone sideways, sheer cosmic bad luck: whatever seeded it, the result is a wellspring of magic that refuses to stay contained. Their spells work, and work well, but every casting risks brushing against something older and stranger, and the world briefly rearranges itself in ways no one, least of all the sorcerer, can predict.

It is the most unpredictable and exhilarating of the origins. A Wild Magic sorcerer might loose a fireball and sprout feathers, or teleport, or turn an enemy blue — the surge is as likely to help as to complicate. But chaos, in the right hands, is a resource: this sorcerer learns to nudge fortune with a flick of will, twist another's luck, and eventually bend even their own surges toward the outcome they wanted. They are proof that order is overrated.

3rd Level

Wild Magic Surge

Your spellcasting sometimes spills over. Once per turn, immediately after you cast a Sorcerer spell with a spell slot, you can roll 1d20; on a 20, you roll on the Wild Magic Surge table to unleash a random magical effect — a burst of chaos as likely to aid you as to astonish everyone watching. If it conjures a spell, it's too wild for your Metamagic to touch.

3rd Level

Tides of Chaos

You can pull on chaos to favor yourself, gaining Advantage on one D20 Test before you roll. Once you do, you must cast a slot spell or finish a Long Rest to use it again — but there's a catch: if you cast that slot spell first, the chaos you disturbed comes due, and you automatically roll on the Wild Magic Surge table. Fortune bought on credit, and always collected.

6th Level

Bend Luck

You learn to reach into another's fate. Immediately after a creature you can see rolls a d20, you can take a Reaction and spend 1 Sorcery Point to roll 1d4 and apply it as a bonus or penalty of your choice — nudging a lethal blow into a miss, or a foe's saving throw into failure, on the strength of pure chaos.

14th Level

Controlled Chaos

You gain a little say in the storm. Whenever you roll on the Wild Magic Surge table, you can roll twice and use either result — steering the surge toward the more useful (or the more entertaining) of two chaotic outcomes, without ever fully taming it.

18th Level

Tamed Surge

At last, you can command the chaos outright. Immediately after you cast a slot spell, you can choose an effect from the Wild Magic Surge table rather than rolling for it — any effect but the very last row — bending the wildest magic in the world into exactly the outcome you intended. Once used, you recover this on a Long Rest.
