Trickery Domain — Sagor från Valoris

Not every divine power keeps to the temple and the open road. Trickery serves the sly face of the sacred — the patron of thieves, rebels, and clever underdogs, the laughing power that would rather outwit the tyrant than storm his gates. Its clerics carry blessing and mischief in the same hand, and count a well-placed deception among the holiest works there are.

Where other clerics stand as beacons, the Trickery cleric is never quite where you last saw them. They walk unseen, wear other faces, and split into a chorus of illusory selves until an enemy no longer knows which shape to strike. It is a gentler kind of war — one that spends confusion instead of blood — and in the hands of a devout trickster, it is devastating.

3rd Level

Trickery Domain Spells

Your bond to the domain keeps certain spells always ready. You gain always-prepared spells as you rise: Charm Person, Disguise Self, Invisibility, and Pass without Trace at 3rd; Hypnotic Pattern and Nondetection at 5th; Confusion and Dimension Door at 7th; and Dominate Person and Modify Memory at 9th — the full toolkit of the vanishing act.

3rd Level

Blessing of the Trickster

As a Magic action, you touch a little of the divine sleight-of-hand to yourself or a willing creature within 30 feet, granting it Advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks. The blessing lasts until you finish a Long Rest or use the feature again — a shadow that clings to whoever needs to go unseen.

3rd Level

Channel Divinity: Invoke Duplicity

As a Bonus Action, you expend a use of Channel Divinity to conjure a perfect illusory double of yourself in an unoccupied space within 30 feet. It's intangible, mimics your every gesture, and lasts 1 minute (ending early if you dismiss it or are Incapacitated). While it stands, you can cast spells as though you occupied its space; you have Advantage on attacks against any creature within 5 feet of both you and the illusion; and as a Bonus Action you can move the double up to 30 feet.

6th Level

Trickster's Transposition

The line between you and your double blurs entirely. Whenever you take the Bonus Action to create or move the illusion of your Invoke Duplicity, you can teleport, swapping places with it — stepping out of danger and into the space the enemy was sure was empty, in the same instant.

17th Level

Improved Duplicity

Your illusions become a crowd. You can conjure up to four duplicates at once with Invoke Duplicity, moving any number of them as a Bonus Action. And when an enemy strays within 5 feet of a double, you can expend a use of Channel Divinity to make them all vanish in a flash: that creature and each of your choice within 5 feet of a duplicate must succeed on a Wisdom save (DC 8 + your Wisdom modifier + your Proficiency Bonus) or take 2d10 plus your Wisdom modifier in Psychic damage, while an ally within 30 feet regains Hit Points equal to your Cleric level.
