The Warrior of the Elements draws their ki outward, past the edge of the body, until it takes on the character of the raw forces that shape the world. Their strikes crackle with lightning, hiss with acid, or bite with sudden cold; their reach lengthens as if the air itself had become an extension of their arm. Where other monks perfect the self, the elemental monk learns to speak the older language of fire and frost and thunder, and to answer in kind.

It is the most spectacular of the traditions, and among the most versatile. An elemental monk reshapes their damage to slip past any resistance, hurls bursts of energy across the battlefield, and rides their own attunement into the air on wings of pure force. To fight one is to fight the weather itself given fists — an opponent who is never quite the same element twice, and always exactly the wrong one to have prepared for.

3rd Level

Elemental Attunement

At the start of your turn, you can expend 1 Focus Point to infuse yourself with elemental power for 10 minutes (or until you're Incapacitated). While attuned, your Unarmed Strikes gain 10 feet of reach, and you can change a strike's damage to Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, or Thunder. When you deal one of those types, you can force a Strength saving throw (DC 8 + your Wisdom modifier + your Proficiency Bonus) to move the target up to 10 feet toward or away from you.

3rd Level

Manipulate Elements

You gain a touch of true elemental magic. You know the Elementalism cantrip, cast using Wisdom — a small mastery over flame, water, earth, and air that lets you shape the environment as fluidly as you shape your strikes.

6th Level

Elemental Burst

You can unleash your power at range. As a Magic action, you expend 2 Focus Points to conjure a 20-foot-radius Sphere of energy at a point within 120 feet. Each creature there makes a Dexterity saving throw (DC 8 + your Wisdom modifier + your Proficiency Bonus), taking three rolls of your Martial Arts die in damage on a failure, or half as much on a success — of Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, or Thunder, your choice.

11th Level

Stride of the Elements

The elements carry you where they will. While your Elemental Attunement is active, you gain a Fly Speed and a Swim Speed equal to your Speed — riding a gust into the air or knifing through water with the same ease you cross open ground, at home in every element at once.

17th Level

Elemental Epitome

You become an avatar of the raw forces you channel. While attuned, you gain Resistance to one element — Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, or Thunder — and can change it at the start of each turn. Through Destructive Stride, your Step of the Wind grants +20 feet of Speed and sears each creature you pass within 5 feet of for one roll of your Martial Arts die. And through Empowered Strikes, once per turn you can deal extra Martial Arts die damage of your strike's type — a warrior wholly made of storm.
